Neurotech Network

Neurotechnology is the application of technology to the human nervous system to improve functions throughout many parts of the body. Hundreds of thousands of people with neurological or psychiatric disorders have already been helped by neurotechnology.  For instance, cochlear implants help restore hearing to the deaf, neuroprosthetics provide movement to the paralyzed and spine stimulators give relief to those with chronic pain.   These are just a few examples of the many neurotechnologies available today.

Neurotech Network is a non-profit organization dedicated to improve the education of and the advocacy to access neurotechnology devices for persons with impairments.  Our services are divided into 4 areas:

Educate – Resources to research and learn more about neurotechnology for various neurological conditions.

Update – Access to the latest information about neurotechnology, as well as our newsletter, The Current

Communicate – Stories from people who use neurotechnology devices

Advocate – Opportunities for organizations and individuals to help increase access to these life-changing devices

These resources are rapidly changing with the progress of technology and advancements.  Learn now and return again to stay updated.

Professor Stanley Salmons, one of IFESS’s Founder Members, Publishes Short Stories For Children’s Charity

www.FESrowing.org
The underlying aim of the FES Rowing project is to develop new technology that enables paraplegics to participate in a mainstream activity for health, leisure and sport. Over the next few months we will be adding fuller detail information on the project's history, collaborators, research and development team members, FES rowers, sponsors and our future plans.

AnestCadizTM, Andalusian website of Anesthesiology, Critical Care and Pain Treatment, is a non-profitable project set up in mid-2004 exclusively aimed at health care professionals.   Our aim is to achieve a double objective:

On the one hand, to circulate the ideas and initiatives born in the Iberoamerican field of our specialty and other medico-surgical specialities of interest for our integral training and/or our daily practice.

On the other hand, we would like this website to be regarded as a useful tool for colleagues who devote their daily working efforts and for those who have had a vocation for the health sciences field from the very beginning, rather than as an “aesthetic” website.

For this reason AnestCadizTM renews its contents DAILY trying to stay at the summit of current medical affairs to serve you all.

As you can see, our Menu is varied and diverse including, among others, a vast database (Bibliography) in constant growth which features a great amount of medical literature which will surely be useful.

Please accept our affectionate greeting and advise us of your suggestions via the e-mail address shown at the bottom of the page.

Please accept our affectionate greeting for all the friends of AnestCadizTM.
